It is an honour and a privilege to represent Gordon. I am extremely grateful to all those who supported me during the 2005 General Election and honoured and proud once again to be the MP for Gordon.
I look forward to representing you once again and will continue to work as hard as ever in Parliament and the constituency on your behalf.
Please enjoy browsing the website and feel free to contact me with any comments you may have.
Surgery times and locations in the constituency are listed in the forthcoming events section.
On my regular website column you can read my views on some of the latest issues that are affecting people today including: the Calman commission and Scottish taxation proposals, what the European election results mean for Scotland, oil price rises and the Government's attitude to oil and gas issues; and the challenges of tackling urban poverty in developing countries.
Full details of all claims made as part of the Incidental Expenses Provision (IEP), the Additional Costs Allowance (ACA) and the Communications Allowance (CA) available to MPs to assist with the additional costs of running a second home in London, the costs of running MPs' offices and for communicating with constituents through reports etc. can be found in the Download Area of the website. They have been independently redacted for the financial years available between 2004-2008.

Nick Clegg says:
"I want to know what Malcolm's diet is because he clearly eats or drinks something that keeps him forever young. He is one of the most energetic MPs in the House of Commons today much as he was when he entered the Commons 25 years ago. It is amazing to see him run circles around MPs half his age in his tireless dedication to his constituents. He really is an institution in his own right in his own constituency but also in Westminster, as a chairman of a very important select committee. He is widely respected across party boundaries. I wonder whether his constituents realise how lucky they are to have someone who is not just a good constituency MP but someone who is really respected in Westminster. Westminster is a rough and rowdy place. There are not that many MPs - and Malcolm can count himself amongst them - who are listened to respectfully by all parties."

Bruce congratulates new Liberal Democrat MEP George Lyon
Mon 8th Jun 2009
Gordon MP today congratulated George Lyon who became the newest Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland after last week's European elections. The result confounded some commentators who had said the Liberal Democrats would struggle to hold on to any representation with the reduction of Scottish seats in the Parliament. The nationalists also fared less well than had been predicted failing to gain the extra seat they had convinced the media they were on course for.
