Malcolm Bruce MP joins Cabinet Ministers and fellow Lib Dem, Labour and Conservative MPs in a special event for Sport Relief. Mr Bruce will be one of more than 100 MPs and Peers who are putting aside their political differences to raise money to help underprivileged people in the UK and abroad by running a mile for charity.
Olympic stars Steve Cram and Tessa Sanderson will be on hand to offer encouragement to runners.
Malcolm Bruce said:
"I wish I had used my subscription to the gym now, it might have helped me get round the course.
"That said, having to run around after my 2 pre-school children might have kept me fitter than I thought.
"I am very pleased to be part of this important event, despite the blisters. It will prick the pomposity of politicians and will hopefully raise a lot of money for charity
