The judging of Malcolm Bruce MP's Christmas Card Competition has taken place and the winner is Micky Johnston from Braehead Primary School, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, whose artwork has been printed as the picture on Mr Bruce's Christmas Card this year. He has also received a £30 book token.
Speaking after the judging Mr Bruce said,
"I was impressed to see so many schools taking part again, from right across the constituency. As with the previous years, the standard of the entries was very high and the judges all enjoyed the imaginative fun that the children had put into their pictures on the theme of "A North East Christmas."
"I am delighted with the design of the winning entry and look forward to sending this out to more than 900 people this Christmas.
"The winning entry is bright, colourful and the detail is beautifully drawn. In the foreground there is a wonderfully drawn snowman wearing a kilt, with an oil rig, sheep and forest in the background"
The second prize of a £20 book token goes to Martyn Burnett of Oyne School and 3rd prize of a £10 book token to Jess Smith of Chapel of Garioch School.
